Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins News Release

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The American Hockey League announced rosters for the 2016 Toyota AHL All-Star Classic today, with three members of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins being named to the Atlantic Division team.

Goaltender Matt Murray, defenseman Derrick Pouliot, and rookie forward Dominik Simon were selected to represent the Atlantic Division during the AHL's All-Star festivities held in Syracuse, N.Y. on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, 2016.

Murray leads all AHL goalies with a .942 save percentage, is tied for the league lead with four shutouts, and his 1.74 goals against average sits at second overall. The second-year pro is 14-4-0-0 this season.

Pouliot has earned 18 points this season (5G-13A), the most of any Penguins defenseman. Pouliot, in his second-year of pro hockey, played for the Eastern Conference in last year's All-Star Classic.

Dominik Simon's 29 points (12G-17A) tops all AHL rookies and leads Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Simon joined the Penguins organization this season after playing the last three years in the Czech Extraliga.

All three players will be led by Penguins associate coach Jay Leach, who was named head coach of the Atlantic Division squad by the AHL on Jan. 2.

The 2016 Toyota AHL All-Star Classic will include the AHL All-Star Skills Competition on Sunday, Jan. 31, followed by the AHL All-Star Game on Monday, Feb. 1, taking place at the Oncenter War Memorial Arena in downtown Syracuse.

The Penguins' next home game is Saturday, Jan. 9 against the Utica Comets. Individual tickets for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton games can be purchased at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza box office, through all Ticketmaster outlets, or by contacting the Penguins directly at (570) 208-7367.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton season ticket packages, including Full Season, 22-game, 12-game and Flexbook plans, are available by calling the Penguins at (570) 208-7367.
