Wolf Pack Announce 2016 Dollar Dog Challenge
January 7, 2016 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Hartford Wolf Pack News Release
HARTFORD, January 7, 2015: The Hartford Wolf Pack today issued a "2016 Dollar Dog Challenge", to test Wolf Pack fans' hot dog-eating prowess.
The Wolf Pack have six Friday-night home games left on their 2015-16 home schedule, and each Friday-night home game features $1 hot dogs and $2 beers through the start of the second period. The Wolf Pack's challenge to fans is to consume 20,000 hot dogs over the course of those six games.
If the fans can achieve this collaborative gastric milestone, the Wolf Pack will treat every fan at the Pack's April 9 "Fan Appreciation Night" game to a free hot dog.
Fans can track the progress towards this dining achievement on the Wolf Pack's official website, www.hartfordwolfpack.com, and updates will be announced at each Friday home game.
The challenge begins tomorrow night, Friday, January 8, as the Wolf Pack host the Springfield Falcons at the XL Center in a 7:15 PM game. The other remaining Friday-night dates include:
January 29 vs. Bridgeport
February 12 vs. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton
March 18 vs. Portland
March 25 vs. Bridgeport
April 1 vs. Hershey
Faceoff for all of these Friday-night XL Center contests is 7:15.
