CLEVELAND - In advance of a Saturday road clash vs. the Grand Rapids Griffins, Cleveland's >[if gte vml 1]>

Lake Erie Monsters announced Thursday that second-year right wing Josh Anderson was recalled by the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets for the second time this season. Selected by Columbus in the fourth round of the 2012 NHL Draft with the 95th overall pick, Anderson is tied for the Lake Erie team-lead with nine goals this season and has 18 points, 58 penalty minutes and a +1 rating to his credit in 26 appearances for the Monsters this year. In three NHL appearances for the Blue Jackets this season, Anderson contributed two assists and a +2 rating.

A 21 year-old native of Burlington, ON, Anderson has 16 goals, 35 points, 134 penalty minutes and a +2 rating to his credit in 78 career AHL appearances spanning parts of the past two seasons with the Monsters and Springfield Falcons. In nine career NHL appearances for the Blue Jackets, in 2014-15 and 2015-16, the 6'3", 221 lb. right-handed shooter posted three assists, two penalty minutes and a +1 rating.

Prior to his professional career, Anderson supplied 62 goals, 122 points, 192 penalty minutes and a +58 rating in 191 career OHL appearances for the London Knights spanning three seasons from 2011 to 2014. Anderson additionally helped the Knights capture OHL Championships in 2011-12 and 2012-13 and served as one of London's assistant captains during the 2013-14 campaign.
