Everett Silvertips News Release

Three More Home Games this Week!

Following their Veteran's Day overtime win against Vancouver, the Silvertips are on home ice three more times this week before hitting the highway next week for the second leg of their Central Division road swing. Tomorrow night the Regina Pats visit Comcast Arena for the only time this season at 7:05 pm. As the Silvertips meet the defending WHL Champion Portland Winterhawks for the first time this year Friday at 7:35 pm, the first 750 fans through the main doors will receive a Kevin Constantine bobblehead doll courtesy of the Tulalip Resort Casino. Then as the Prince George Cougars come calling Saturday at 7:05 pm, the first 1,000 fans in the building will get a Ben Betker player magnet courtesy of Pratt Pest Management.

More than Just a Hot Start

With the 2013-14 WHL season now past the one-quarter mark, the Silvertips still find themselves among the top teams in the WHL standings. Everett currently owns the second-best winning percentage in the entire WHL at .775, with only the Kelowna Rockets (.833) performing better to this point. The 'Tips have won eight of their last ten games, improving their overall record to 14-3-3-0 and moving within one point of Portland for the U.S. Division lead with one game in hand. As Josh Winquist ranks fourth among all WHL scorers with 35 points (16 goals/19 assists) in 20 games this season, at the opposite end of the ice the Silvertips have surrendered the second-fewest goals of any team in the league.
