
Think Green Program Among Thunder's Newest Promotions

WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Thunder, in conjunction with QuikService Steel Co., are rewarding fans this season with the "Think Green" program.
Fans can receive $5.00 off prime and upper corner Thunder tickets for the 2008-2009 regular season (excluding Saturday games) by returning a Think Green collection bag filled with used recyclable aluminum beverage cans to QuikService Steel Co. or the Thunder office. Bags can be picked up at both locations, and will also be available at the Kansas Coliseum during Thunder home games.
Fans can turn in multiple bags throughout the season to earn rewards points that can be redeemed for great Thunder prizes. In addition to the Think Green program, the Thunder have many more great promotions planned for the upcoming season. "Jumping Jack" will be on hand during the home opener on October 18th vs. Oklahoma City and will offer fans the chance to win a free cruise. For the first time at the Kansas Coliseum, fans can enjoy $1.50 Natural Light and Keystone Light beer during select Friday home games. On November 7th vs. New Mexico, the Bobby Bones show from Channel 963 will be on hand at the coliseum. For December 20th vs. Rapid City, the Thunder have teamed with Presto to give fans the opportunity to win free gas with its first "Petro-palooza" promotion.
Feature returning events include Sonic Thunderdog's Birthday Bash, on January 3rd vs. Colorado. The Thunder will host their second annual Pink at the Rink night, sponsored by the Mary Kay Ash Foundation on February 7th Odessa. The Thunder's annual Youth Jersey giveaway also returns, sponsored by Intrust Bank on March 13th vs. Texas. Wichita opens its 17th season Friday October 17th at Mississippi. The Thunder open their home schedule the following night on October 18th at the Kansas Coliseum. Opening faceoff is set for 7:05pm, with tickets still remaining for the game. For more information, call the Thunder office at 264-GOAL.
