
Texas Brahmas Open Season This Weekend

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (October 16)- The Texas Brahmas of the Central Hockey League (CHL) are set to go for the 2008-09 season as they begin play Friday night on the road followed by the home opener Saturday for a 7:05 PM faceoff against the Mississippi RiverKings.
Festivities at the NYTEX Sports Centre will begin with live music provided by Trio Loco, a local band that plays '80's, '90's current rock music. Cas Haley, a former contestant on NBC's hit talent contest, "America's Got Talent", will be on hand to sing the National Anthem and sign autographs.
The Brahmas have some new faces on their roster their season (click here for opening day roster), and in order for the fans to be acquainted to the 2008-09 team, all Texas Brahmas players will be available for a special autograph session in the main lobby following Saturday night's game.
This season the Texas Brahmas will be under the leadership of newly appointed captain, veteran defenseman Craig Minard. Wearing the "A" for the black and purple will be defenseman Justin Kinnunen and forward Lance Galbraith.
