Amarillo, TX 10/1608 - On the eve of their first regular season game against the New Mexico Scorpions, the Amarillo Gorillas set their opening night roster in stone.

Late additions to the squad include Stuart MacRae, acquired from Texas, and Ryan Waldner, claimed off waivers from Oklahoma City.

MacRae, a second-year pro, was nearly a point-per-game producer while in juniors. Playing for three different teams, he scored 276 points in 280 games over his five-year junior career. Waldner is a first-year pro hailing from Edmonton, Alberta. The 6'2", 195-pound defenseman played junior hockey in Alberta before starting his collegiate career with Grant MacEwan College (where he would play with fellow Gorilla Gordon Bell). He has spent the last three seasons with the Univeristy of Western Ontario, with whom he scored 12 points in 17 games in 2007-08.

In addition to adding two players to their opening night roster, the Gorillas waived a pair of players. Former Gorilla Brett McConnachie and John Kozoriz were placed on waivers Thursday.
