New Mexico Scorpions News Release
[RIO RANCHO, N.M.]-The Scorpions new season opens Friday when New Mexico hosts Amarillo at the Santa Ana Star Center. Rio Rancho's Mayor Thomas E. Swisstack has declared October 17th, 2008 "New Mexico Scorpions Day."
The mayor made an official proclamation last week at the city council meeting. To recognize the start of the season the mayor has encouraged all citizens, school-aged children, city employees and business owners to wear their Scorpions memorabilia or wear red to show their support.
The Scorpions are hoping to paint the town red as the fun and exciting entertainment is back on the Santa Ana Star Center ice this Friday night.
