Harrisburg Senators News Release

The Spot Restaurant returns in style tonight at Commerce Bank Park. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for tonight at 5:00 PM on the concourse on the third-base side of the park. Dauphin County Commissioner George Hartwick will be on hand to usher in the return of the iconic mid-state establishment.

The Spot closed its doors on September 28, 2007, after nearly 70 years in business. Tonight it will be resurrected at Commerce Bank Park with its trademark Spot Dogs, Rendell Burgers, chips and soda available at every Senators game. Proprietor Billy Kaldes and his family will be at the park for the grand opening and Kaldes will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game at 6:05 PM against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.

Mayor Stephen Reed declared Thursday "Spot at the Park Grand Opening Day in the Capital City" at a press conference Monday at City Hall.
