Texas Stars Announce Opening Day Roster

Cedar Park, TX - The Texas Stars announced on Thursday the club's Opening Day roster for the 2011-12 American Hockey League season.

The 22-man roster is composed of two goaltenders, seven defensemen and 13 forwards. Of the 22 players listed, nine of them are going into their third season with the club. The roster also features seven rookies and seven Dallas Stars draft picks.
The Texas Stars will host Opening Night at Cedar Park Center on Sunday, October 9th against the Oklahoma City Barons at 5:00 pm. Every fan who attends the first regular season game of the year will receive a Texas Stars magnetic schedule compliments of Austin Telco Credit Union.
