Rochester Americans News Release

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Americans Vice President of Business Operations Rob Kopacz announced today that ClearChannel Radio will once again be the Amerks radio broadcast partner for the 2011-12 season, keeping 107.3 FM and 1280 AM, Rochester's Sports Talk, as the flagship stations for Rochester Americans hockey. The 2011-12 season will mark the second straight year ClearChannel has aired Amerks games on both radio dials. Hall of Fame play-by-play broadcaster Don Stevens will be behind the microphone for his 26th season as the Voice of the Amerks while former Sabre Ric Seiling will return as color analyst.

In addition, the "Penalty Box" returns this season as Craig Schaller will host the intermission reports and postgame show. Schaller will once again take phone calls from fans following games to break down the action. Prior to weekday game, Stevens will be a guest on WHAM 1180's "Bob Matthews on Sports" to preview that night's contest. Amerks players, coaches and management personnel will continue to make interview appearances on ClearChannel programming throughout the season.

ClearChannel will air 74 of Rochester's 76 games this season, with the lone exceptions being an 11 a.m. start at Toronto on Feb. 8 and an 11:30 a.m. start at Albany on March 28. Broadcast information on those games will be announced at a later date.
