
Griffins to Host Marlies for Home Opener

Friday, Oct. 14, 2011 vs. Toronto Marlies Opening Night Celebration presented by Xfinity
Time: 7 p.m. at Van Andel Arena (doors open at 6 p.m.).
Free Glow Bams: The first 5,000 fans will receive Griffins glow bams, courtesy of Xfinity.
Jaded 8: Jaded 8 will perform live on the concourse from 6-7 p.m.
Fire on Ice: The West Michigan Burnerz will entertain fans before the game with their unique "pyrodynamic" stunt show.
Post-Game Fireworks: Stick around after the game for an extended post-game show, featuring West Michigan's largest indoor firework display.
Dollar Beers, Dollar Dogs: The return of the ever-popular promotion runs from 6-8 p.m., when fans can enjoy $1 domestic drafts and $1 hot dogs while supplies last.
Free Ride Friday: Ride the Rapid to and from the game and enjoy complimentary fare by showing your ticket to that night's game. Visit ridetherapid.org for schedule information, routes and maps.
College Night: College students can show their ID to purchase a lower bowl ticket for $13 (or $11 in advance at The Zone) and stop by the McFadden's concourse table to receive a free pass to the post-game party at McFadden's.

Advance ticket prices are $14, $16 and $18 in the arena's upper level, and $18, $22, $26 and $32 in the lower level. (Additional $2 per ticket on day of game.) For Sunday-Thursday games, a limited number of advance-purchase, upper level tickets will go on sale for just $8 one week prior to each contest.
