
Texas Sends Korostin To Idaho

Cedar Park, TX - The Texas Stars announced on Friday that right wing Sergei Korostin has been reassigned to the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL - Texas' primary "AA" affiliate.
Korostin played in 32 games for the Stars this season, scoring nine goals and adding five assists for 14 points. The 20-year old also had 27 penalty minutes with a +6 rating. The Prokopievsk, Russia native is second among all AHL rookies with a 20.5 shooting percentage.
The Dallas Stars selected Korostin in the third round (#64 overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
The Stars remain in Manitoba for one more road game on Saturday, Jan. 2 at 7:30 PM. Texas returns to the Cedar Park Center on Wednesday, Jan. 6 for a game against the Houston Aeros at 7:30 PM. On Tuesday, the first 2,000 fans will receive a Texas Stars rally towel. The Stars travel to Abbotsford, BC for back-to-back road games on Friday, Jan. 8 and Saturday, Jan. 9. All games can be heard on the Stars flagship station ESPNAustin 104.9 FM "The Horn" or ESPNAustin 1240-AM.
