Rats Add Forwards Pistilli and Schepke

ALBANY, NY-The Albany River Rats announced today that the team has recalled forward Matthew Pistilli from the ECHL's Florida Everblades, and signed forward Matt Schepke to a professional tryout contract.

Pistilli, 21, has scored three goals and three assists (six points) in 25 games with Albany this season. The Montreal, Quebec native has also tallied a goal and one assist (two points) in six contests with Florida this season. Pistilli (6'2", 219 lbs.) signed a three-year, two-way contract with Carolina as an undrafted free agent on May 20, 2009 after completing a four year Juniors Career with Shawinigan.

Schepke, 24, has 10 goals and seven assists (17 points) in 28 games this season with the Charlotte Checkers of the ECHL. The Warren, Michigan native scored six goals and added three assists (nine points) in twelve games last season with the Checkers, after completing a three year collegiate career at Michigan State University. Schepke (5'11", 196 lbs.) also made his American Hockey League debut last year, playing one game with the Hartford WolfPack.

Both forwards are expected to be in the lineup on Saturday, when Albany plays a 7:30 p.m. road game against the East Division's Syracuse Crunch.
