The Hamilton Bulldogs, in conjunction with TD Canada Trust and McMaster Children's Hospital, have announced that the 10th Annual 'TD Canada Trust Smiles on Ice Game' will take place on Saturday, February 11th when the Bulldogs host the Portland Pirates at Copps Coliseum at
7:00 p.m.
This year's patient ambassador for the game is 18-month-old Cole Dickson, while forward Jean-Francois Jacques is the Hamilton Bulldogs ambassador. Proceeds from the game will go to 'Smiles on Ice' in support of McMaster Children's Hospital.
"The Hamilton Bulldogs are pleased to be partnering with TD Canada Trust and McMaster Children's Hospital in our 10th Anniversary Season," said Brian Lewis, the Bulldogs' Executive Director of Operations. "We are looking forward to adding to the over $200,000 that this event has raised for 'Smiles on Ice' in the past nine years."
"McMaster Children's Hospital is honoured to have the support of TD Canada Trust and the Hamilton Bulldogs," said Dr. Peter Steer, President of McMaster Children's Hospital. "The hospital, the City of Hamilton and the region as a whole continue to benefit from the commitment these great corporate citizens share -- to children, to families and to our community's future."
Dave May, the TD Canada Trust District Vice-President for the Greater Hamilton Area stated,
"TD Canada Trust continues to enjoy a 10-year partnership with the Hamilton Bulldogs in support of McMaster Children's Hospital. Over this 10-year span our Smiles On Ice Hockey Game has generated in excess of $200,000 for the Hospital's fundraising campaign for Mac Kids. We are very proud of the fact that over 600 TDCT employees in the Hamilton/Burlington and Niagara area are engaged in selling tickets to the game and we appreciate their support and the support of the customers who help by buying these tickets ... we are committed to being actively involved in our community."
Fans can purchase tickets at area TD Canada Trust branches, Copps Coliseum Box Office, all Ticketmaster locations, online at ticketmaster.ca and at select Sports Obsession locations.
The Hamilton Bulldogs have assisted and supported McMaster Children Hospital throughout their 10 years in Hamilton.
