Syracuse Signs Sylvain Cloutier to P.T.O.

Syracuse, NY (January 9, 2004) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have signed center Sylvain Cloutier to a professional try-out contract.

Cloutier, 29, appeared in two games with Albany this season, recording two penalty minutes. In 31 games with Adirondack (United Hockey League), Cloutier tallied 13 goals, 18 assists and 60 penalty minutes. He has appeared in 563 career AHL games with Adirondack, Albany and Houston, recording 86 goals, 187 assists and 1,069 penalty minutes. A native of Mont-Laurier, Quebec, Cloutier, was selected by Detroit in the third round, 70th overall, in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft.

Syracuse hosts Hershey tonight for East Syracuse Crunch Ice Scraper Night. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a Crunch ice scraper, courtesy of East Syracuse Chevrolet. Saturday, January 10, the Crunch host the Rochester Americans.
