Loyns Traded to Calgary

SAN JOSE, CA - The San Jose Sharks announced today that left wing Lynn Loyns was traded to the Calgary Flames in exchange for future considerations. Doug Wilson, San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager, made the announcement.

Loyns has appeared in 30 games with the Barons this season posting 5 goals, 9 assists, and a +9 plus/minus rating. The 5-11, 200-pound forward also appeared in 2 games with San Jose this season and did not record a point.

Last season, Loyns split time between Cleveland and San Jose. In his two stints with the Sharks, Loyns played 19 games and scored 3 goals (3-0=3). With the Barons, the Naicam, Saskatchewan native scored 15 points on 7 goals and 8 assists in 36 games.

The third-year professional has spent his entire professional career with the San Jose Sharks organization. Undrafted, Loyns was signed by San Jose on 10/3/01.
