Syracuse Recalls Mizzi And Cummings

Syracuse, NY (March 27, 2002) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have recalled center Preston Mizzi and left wing Brian Cummings from Dayton (ECHL).

Mizzi, 22, has appeared in 21 games with the Crunch this season, recording two goals, two assists and 33 penalty minutes. In 44 games with Dayton, Mizzi has tallied 18 goals, 24 assists and 126 penalty minutes. A native of Saulte Ste. Marie, Ontario, Mizzi signed an American Hockey League contract with Syracuse on September 18, 2001.

Cummings, 24, has appeared in 67 games tallying 10 goals, 10 assists and 180 penalty minutes. Last year Cummings appeared in five with the Crunch games recording one goal. A native of West Roxbury, Massachusetts, Cummings signed an American Hockey League contract with Syracuse on August 3, 2001.

The Crunch travels to Rochester on March 29 for a 7:30 p.m. match-up. Crunch action can be heard on SportsRadio 620 with play-by-play announcer Bob McElligott. Syracuse's next home game is Wednesday, April 3 against Rochester.
