
Syracuse Chiefs to Host Ballpark Brewfest October 3rd

The Syracuse Chiefs are pleased to host the 2015 Ballpark Brewfest on Saturday, October 3rd at NBT Bank Stadium. The Ballpark Brewfest will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. on October 3rd, with a special noon start for World of Beer VIP Experience ticket holders. At the Ballpark Brewfest, fans will have the chance to sample beers from more than 80 brewers from the Central New York area and beyond. Free parking will be provided at the stadium and designated drivers will gain free admission.
"NBT Bank Stadium is the perfect location for the Ballpark Brewfest", said Chiefs general manager Jason Smorol. We want to provide a safe and fun environment for fans to come, taste and enjoy beer from around Central New York, New York State and the nation!"
At the Ballpark Brewfest, fans will be provided with a four-ounce (4 oz.) souvenir sampling glass to taste beer from the collection of brewers on the stadium concourse. Concession stands on the concourse will be open and serve food throughout the day. Wine sampling will also be available. Fans can sample beers from local breweries such as Ommegang, Empire, Saranac, Adirondack and more. The Ballpark Brewfest will also feature New York-based breweries such as Blue Point and Shock Top and other national breweries such as Goose Island, Stone, Woodchuck and Lagunitas, among many others.
In addition, fans can take batting practice on the field during the Ballpark Brewfest and listen to the Chiefs' in-house DJ, who will play music all day long during the event.
Tickets to the Ballpark Brewfest cost $35 if purchased before October 3rd or $45 if purchased at the door. In addition, a World of Beer VIP Experience is also available to purchase for $75 before the day of the event or for $100 at the door. Benefits for World of Beer VIP ticket holders include the chance to enter the Ballpark Brewfest an hour before the event starts, access to special beers, a Q&A session with brewmasters at the ballpark, a commemorative Ballpark Brewfest T-Shirt, a voucher for batting practice on the field, and a private food and beer pairing in the Hank Sauer Room of Legends.
Group tickets are also available for the Ballpark Brewfest for groups of 10 or more. These groups can purchase tickets for a reduced price of $30 per ticket by contacting the Chiefs' Group Sales Department at groups@syracusechiefs.com or 315-474-7833.
The Ballpark Brewfest is only open to individuals who are 21 or older and have a valid form of identification. Anyone under the age of 21, including children, will not be permitted into the stadium.
For individual tickets, call the Chiefs at 315-474-7833 or visit the NBT Bank Stadium ticket office during regular business hours. Tickets can also be purchased at participating locations including Party Source Beer Store, Brilbeck's Corner Market, Nichols Supermarket and World of Beer.
