The Bulls play the opener of a three-game set against the Charlotte Knights at BB&T Ballpark, kicking off their final road trip of the season. Durham is 11-2 over its last 13 games, but is still just 23-25 since the All-Star break. The Bulls have dropped 41 of their previous 72 contests to go from a 2.0-game lead in the IL South to a 6.5-game deficit. Charlotte - the Chicago White Sox top affiliate - is 6-3 over its last nine games, but just 3-3 over its last six. The Knights enter today 4.5 games back of first-place Norfolk in the IL South, and have been eliminated from Wild Card contention. The Knights are 41-28 at BB&T Ballpark, compared to just a 31-38 record away from home.
