June 23, 2016 - International League (IL1)
Syracuse Mets News Release

The Syracuse Chiefs return home Friday to kick off a six-game homestand with a series against the Toledo Mud Hens, the triple-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, from Friday to Sunday. Here's what's in store for the upcoming weekend...

Friday, June 24th (7:05 p.m. vs. Toledo): The Chiefs return home for IBEW Electricians Local 43 Night. On Friday, all proceeds from the 50/50 raffle will benefit Charity for Children, a non-profit organization supported by IBEW. Charity for Children is dedicated to providing financial and educational services to needy families in Central New York; specifically, children who suffer from disabilities, diseases and disorders. Fans can also enjoy a Fireworks Friday with a spectacular pyrotechnics display, courtesy of IBEW 43 and 93Q.

Saturday, June 25th (7:05 p.m. vs. Toledo): Before Saturday's game, local children can attend the Chiefs' Sandlot Baseball Classic, held at NBT Bank Stadium from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. A few spots are still available for the Clinic. Attendees will receive training from the Syracuse Chiefs' players, a three-inning game on the NBT Bank Stadium field, a fitted hat, a T-shirt, a ticket to that night's Reopening Day game and lunch, for the cost of $150.

The Chiefs will kick off the annual Reopening Day on Saturday, presented by NBT Bank. Reopening Day features an appearance from former Major League All-Star Bill Buckner, who will be available for a pregame meet-and-greet in the Hank Sauer Room, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tickets for this VIP event can be purchased for $100. After throwing out the ceremonial first pitch, Buckner will sign autographs on the concourse from 7:15 to 9:15 p.m.

Reopening Day is a Super Saturday. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a full-size baseball bat, courtesy of NBT Bank. Fans can also enjoy a fireworks show after the game.

Sunday, June 26th (1:05 p.m. vs. Toledo): The Chiefs wrap up the weekend on a Family Sunday, presented by NBT Bank. This Sunday doubles as a "Get Home Safe, Don't Zone Out" Day presented by CSEA. The first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive a Syracuse Chiefs car decal with that message, courtesy of CSEA. As with all Family Sundays, tickets for children 12 and under are only $2 and kids can run the bases after the conclusion of the game.

Tickets for this weekend, as well as all other Chiefs games, can be purchased by calling 474-7833, in person at the NBT Bank Stadium ticket office, or online at syracusechiefs.com.
