Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders News Release

SCRANTON/WILKES-BARRE RAILRIDERS (24-28) @ INDIANAPOLIS INDIANS (25-26)

RHP Chance Adams (1-2, 5.93) vs. RHP J.T. Brubaker (2-1, 3.32)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

| Game No. 53 | Friday June 1, 2018 | Victory Field | Indianapolis, IN |

| First Pitch 7:15 PM | Pregame Show 6:45 PM |

LITTLE TOE, BIG OH-FER: SWB RailRiders INF Ronald Torreyes stepped into the box Thursday having gone 3-for-9 in his first two games since being optioned from the New York Yankees to the RailRiders. Torreyes had spent the last several full seasons in the big leagues, and last appeared in an MiLB game 9/6/2015 for Oklahoma City (AAA, LAD) -- 996 days prior. In Thursday's series-finale against the Louisville Bats, he went 0-for-6 in a 5-4 11-inning loss which marked just the second time in his 615 MiLB games that he had done that -- 7/17/2011 for the Dayton Dragons vs. Cedar Rapids.

REVENGE BRU-ING: During the 2017 Eastern League Championship Series, RHP J.T. Brubaker got the start for the Altoona Curve in Game 2 against the Trenton Thunder. The Curve won that game 4-2, thanks to 8.0 IP, 2R/1ER, BB, 6 K on 94 Pitches (68 Strikes) from the righty. He out-dueled LHP Justus Sheffield (4.1 IP, 4 H, 2R/2ER, 6 K) on his way back from an oblique strain. The lineup that night featured some familiar names for the 2018 RailRiders, though no one currently on the active roster -- OF Rashad Crawford, INF Thairo Estrada, INF Billy Fleming, OF Zack Zehner.

SPREADING THE WEALTH: The RailRiders connected for six homers as a team Tuesday/Wednesday night, including the team-best 7th and 8th of the year from INF Mike Ford and the 5th of the year from OF Clint Frazier and INF/OF Ryan McBroom. This gives SWB five players with 5+ HR and seven players with 4+ HR this season. That's the second-most in the International League behind the Durham Bulls who have six players with 5+ HR and 10 players with 4+ HR.

GIVING SOME DISTANCE: RailRiders LHP Josh Rogers tossed 6.1 innings of one-run baseball last Thursday morning, good for his 5th quality start of the season and followed it up with No. 6 over 7.0 shutout innings Tuesday night. Between those two starts, RailRiders starting pitchers threw only 9.2 innings over four games, requiring 26.1 innings of bullpen work (5.0 IP of which were absorbed by typical-starter RHP Erik Swanson behind MLB-rehabber, RHP Adam Warren). SWB starters allowed 10 runs on 7 H, 6 BB and 3 HBP (16 baserunners) in the 1st inning in the four-game series vs. Syracuse, but things are starting to settle-down after a few strong starts by the RailRiders in their series against Louisville. Following Tuesday's performance, Rogers has made 10 starts this season and has as many quality starts (6) and outing of 6.0+ IP (7) than the rest of his teammates in the other 41 games combined.
