MIDLAND, Mich. - ESPN 100.9-FM is pleased to announce its Saginaw Valley League football coverage package for the 2015 season.
This season's coverage will include ESPN 100.9-FM's Game of the Week that will provide extensive coverage of a local game in the SVL each week. Along with live play-by-play on location, pre- and post-game coverage will be hosted live at the stadium each night.
ESPN 100.9-FM's SVL football coverage kicks off on Thursday, Aug. 27 with Midland Dow at Mt. Pleasant. It continues with:
Sept. 3 - Midland @ Bay City Central
Sept. 11 - Flint Powers Catholic @ Bay City Western
Sept. 18 - Lapeer @ Saginaw Heritage
SVL Game of the Week coverage will begin each night at 6:30 p.m. with the "SVL Game of the Week Pregame Show" hosted by Brad Tunney. The show will provide storylines for that night's featured game, as well as an interview with one of the coaches from the teams involved.
Game of the Week coverage will continue with live play-by-play on-site with our ESPN 100.9-FM broadcast crew, along with Matt DeVries providing extended coverage online. Chris Vosters, the voice of the Loons, will be the lead play-by-play broadcaster for the 2015 season.
SVL Game of the Week coverage wraps up after the game with the "SVL Game of the Week Postgame Show," which will provide analysis and reaction on-site, a post-game interview on the field, and a look at scores from around the area.
Due to scheduling conflicts, games will be broadcast only on ESPN1009.com until Sept. 18.
ESPN 100.9-FM (WLUN, Pinconning) is a 24-hour all-sports station owned by the non-profit Michigan Baseball Foundation. It is the flagship station of Great Lakes Loons baseball and carries a weekday lineup of Mike & Mike, The Russillo Show and The Huge Show with Bill Simonson. ESPN 100.9-FM carries the Saginaw Valley League Football Game of the Week, SVL Basketball, Michigan State football and basketball, Central Michigan football, Saginaw Valley State basketball, along with the MLB, NBA and NFL.
