Greensboro, NC - The Hagerstown Suns (80-52/38-25) suffered a 4-0 loss to the Greensboro Grasshoppers (78-56/32-32) at NewBridge Bank Park on Wednesday Night.
Greensboro starter Scott Lyman (3-6) delivered seven scoreless innings in the start, allowing just three hits and three walks for the win. Second baseman Austin Barnes went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs to pace the attack.
Suns starting pitcher Taylor Jordan (3-3) took the loss, allowing four runs on seven hits over five innings of work. The Suns offense could manage just four singles at the plate.
The Suns and Grasshoppers will play game three of their series on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. when RHP Brian Rauh (3-2, 3.93) takes the mound against Greensboro's LHP Andrew Heaney (0-2, 5.79).
