BELOIT, WI - Beloit Snappers pitcher Seth Streich has been named Midwest League Pitcher of the Week for the week of June 17-23. Streich made one start during this past week, against Peoria, and tossed seven shutout innings, allowing no runs on four hits with one walk and six strikeouts. For his efforts, Streich was rewarded with his seventh win.

Streich's start came in the Snappers' first game of the second half. Through seven innings, he never allowed a runner to reach third base and helped lead the Snappers to a 5-1 victory.

Originally from Johnsonburg, Pennsylvania, Streich is a 6'3, 210-pound right-handed pitcher who is in his second season with the Oakland organization. He was a sixth round pick in the 2012 draft out of Ohio University. This is the second straight week a Snapper has garnered one of the Midwest League's weekly awards. Christopher Bostick was named Player of the Week last week. Streich is the first Beloit pitcher to be named Pitcher of the Week this season.
