BELOIT, Wisc. - Severe storms in southern Wisconsin brought an early end to the night for the TinCaps and the Beloit Snappers on Wednesday. The game was suspended with one out in the top of the fifth inning and the TinCaps trailing, 6-5.

The game will be completed Thursday beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET and is slated for nine innings; a seven-inning game will begin shortly after the completion of the first game.

Beloit got on the board in the bottom of the fifth when Michael Gonzalez rapped a two-run double. He later scored on a wild pitch to make it 3-0.

In the second inning, Wes Cunningham smacked his first home run of the year, a solo blast to right-center, to put Fort Wayne on the board. Beloit came back with a run in the second inning when Daniel Santana lifted a sacrifice fly to left, making it 4-1.

Emmanuel Quiles and Chris Bisson smacked back-to-back RBI doubles to make it 4-3 in the top of the fourth, but Beloit responded with two runs of its own to push the deficit to 6-3.

The TinCaps were clawing back into the game in the fifth. A triple by Luis Domoromo brought home a run, then Jake Blackwood looped an RBI single to right-center to make it 6-5. Four pitches later, high winds caused the stadium lights to flicker and the teams were pulled off the field.

Fort Wayne RHP Matt Jackson (3-0) draws the start in Game 2 against Beloit RHP B.J. Hermsen (4-6).
