The River Bandits were held scoreless on just three hits in 2-0 loss against the Lansing Lugnuts. The River Bandits had just three base runners in the game. The game featured a pitcher's duel that saw the starters strike out 19 total batters.

River Bandits starter Trevor Rosenthal (3-6) allowed just two runs on five hits while striking out 10. Rosenthal walked just one in the game. Angel DeJesus came into the game in the seventh and went two hitless innings while striking out one. Hector Corpas relieved DeJesus in the ninth and went one inning striking out all three batters he faced.

Offensively the Bandits collected only three hits, all singles. Chris Edmondson went 1-for-2 in the game. Michael Swinson and Joseph Bergman each went 1-for-3.

Rosenthal was opposed by Lansing starter Drew Hutchison (4-2). The right-hander went six scoreless innings allowing just three hits while striking out nine. Steve Turnbull (14) came into the game in the ninth and went one inning striking out one to pick up his Midwest League leading 14th save. The Lugnuts pitching staff issued no walks in the game.

The River Bandits continue the home stand when they open up a series with the Great Lakes Loons on Friday. Bandits right-hander Boone Whiting (0-0, 1.83) will oppose Loons left-hander Ryan Christenson (5-4, 3.41). First pitch is set for 7 p.m. at Modern Woodmen Park.
