
Storm Set for Series against Buccaneers

KEARNEY, NE. - The Tri-City Storm is set for this weekend's series against the Des Moines Buccaneers at the Viaero Center. The Storm will host the Buccaneers tonight and tomorrow night at the Viaero Center in the team's first two-game home series of the 2022-2023 regular season. Ticket specials for tonight's game include a $5 Kids' Friday presented by Big Apple Fun Center. A $5 ticket Veterans' ticket special is also available for tonight's game. The deal is available for active or retired members of the military, and can be purchased by presenting a valid ID at the Viaero Center Box Office ahead of tonight's matchup. Tickets to the matchup can be purchased online at www.StormHockey.com, www.KearneyEvents.net, or by calling the Viaero Center Box Office at 308-338-8144. Puck drop is set for 7:05pm CT.
Tri-City (5-8-0-0) returns home to the Viaero Center tonight following four consecutive road games. This weekend's series against the Buccaneers will include the only two home games played by the Storm this month. Tri-City is currently in a stretch of playing eleven of fourteen games on the road. The team will play five consecutive road games following this weekend's home series at the Viaero Center. Tanner Adams netted his third goal of the season during the 3rd period of Tri-City's 5-1 road loss to Waterloo last weekend. The Storm offense has produced three total goals over the past three games after posting a 5-4 road win over Fargo on November 3rd. Scoring leaders for Tri-City entering this weekend's home games against Des Moines include Kieran Cebrian (7), Graham Gamache (4), Cameron O'Neill (3), Tanner Adams (3), and Sebastian Törnqvist (3). Tri-City has posted a 2-8-0-0 record over the past ten games. The team has been outscored 48-21 during that span. The Storm will seek to snap a three-game winless streak in tonight's game.
Des Moines (6-7-1-1) travels to Kearney this weekend seeking to snap a brief two-game losing skid. The Buccaneers defeated the Fargo Force by a final score of 4-3 one week ago, but dropped the final two games of a busy three-game weekend. Des Moines was defeated 4-2 at the Ice Box by the Lincoln Stars last Saturday, and most recently, lost a 3-2 road decision to the Sioux City Musketeers on Sunday. The Buccaneers are 4-5-0-1 over the past ten games. Scoring leaders for Des Moines entering tonight's road game against the Storm include Joey Muldowney (4), Lubomir Kupco (4), and Henry Bartle (4). The Buccaneers won two games against the Storm in last year's six-game season series. Tonight's matchup is the first battle between the Storm and the Buccaneers this season. Des Moines dropped an exhibition game to Tri-City on September 9th by a final score of 4-2. The game was played at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City as part of a USHL West Preseason Showcase event.
