
Bucs Goalie Lundgren Commits to Merrimack

URBANDALE, Iowa - Des Moines Buccaneers goaltender Max Lundgren has committed to play NCAA Division I men's hockey at Merrimack College.
Lundgren (6'5, 230 lbs) is a 2002-born goaltender from Angelholm, Sweden, playing in his first season in the United States Hockey League after playing junior hockey in his home country. In 9 games for the Buccaneers, Lundgren has a 2.77 goals against average and .910 save percentage.
"In Max, Merrimack is getting a tremendous goalie and person, someone who will lead them on and off the ice as he has done with us," said Des Moines head coach Matt Curley. "I am extremely happy and proud of Max on his commitment to Merrimack College!"
Lundgren marks the second commitment this week for the Buccaneers, joining Lubomir Kupco (St. Cloud State). Des Moines (6-7-1-1) is in action on the road this weekend visiting the Tri-City Storm (5-8-0-0) on Friday & Saturday at 7:05 p.m. The Bucs are back home on Black Friday, Nov. 25 at 7:00 p.m. for Black Out jersey night with 2-for-1 domestic beers.
