December 26, 2025 - KEARNEY, Neb. - Tri-City Storm goaltender Michal Pradel and forward Samuel Murin will represent Team Slovakia at the 2026 IIHF World Junior Championship in St. Paul and Minneapolis, Minnesota starting Friday, December 26.
Currently in his first full year of USHL action, Pradel has assembled a solid 2025-2026 campaign with Tri-City. December 15, 2025 - KEARNEY, Neb. - Tri-City Storm goaltender and Detroit Red Wings draft pick Michal Pradel has been named United States Hockey League (USHL) Goaltender of the Week for games played between December 8-14, the league announced Monday.
Pradel amassed two shutouts in last weekend's pair of home matchups against Muskegon. The Slovakia native halted each of the 12 shots he faced Friday and stopped all 33 Lumberjack opportunities Saturday. Pradel now ties for the league lead with three shutouts on the year.

December 13, 2025 - KEARNEY, Neb. - Tri-City Storm forward Carson Pilgrim and defenseman Bode Laylin helped Team USA to a gold medal at the 2025 World Junior A Challenge in Trois-Rivières, Quebec. The Americans defeated Canada West 5-1 in the gold medal game on Saturday night.
The team was made of players that compete in United States junior hockey leagues. The Red, White, and Blue claimed their second straight title and eleventh in tournament history, which dates back to 2006.
