Storm Net Back-To-Back Goalies of the Week

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks, announced today that goaltender Ervins Mustukovs (MOO-sti-koffs) has been named the RBK Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for the week of January 22-28 after going 2-0-0 with 1 shutout in his first action with the Storm.

Ervins, the native of Riga, Latvia made his Toledo Storm debut last Friday in Dayton, posting 41 saves in a 2-0 shutout win. He also defeated Reading 5-3 Saturday night. Mustukovs finished the week 2-0-0 with a 1.50 GAA and a .962 save percentage. Earlier this season, Ervins was with Knoxville of the Southern Professional Hockey League where he posted a 7-4-1 record, a 3.23 GAA and a .906 SVP.

Mustukovs follows up Mike Brodeur , who won the same award last week by turning in a 3-0-0 week with a 1.00 GAA and .964 SVP. Toledo is the first team since the Wheeling Nailers won back-to-back awards October 25-31 and November 1-7 in 2004. Dany Sabourin was the goaltender in both weeks.

Toledo will return to the home ice on January 31st when they will host the Trenton Titans at 7:00pm from Toledo Sports Arena!
