KEARNEY, NE. - The Tri-City Storm defeated the Omaha Lancers in overtime by a final score of 2-1 Saturday night at the Viaero Center. Cole O'Hara scored the overtime game-winning goal to seal the win for Tri-City. After back-to-back road games against Sioux City next weekend, the Storm return home to the Viaero Center for games against the Waterloo Black Hawks on November 12th and November 13th. Tri-City's annual Military Appreciation Night game is scheduled for Friday, November 12th. Puck drop for the game is scheduled for 7:05pm CT.

Ilya Nikolaev scored his second goal of the season at 6:55 of the 1st period to give the Storm a 1-0 lead. The goal was assisted by Drew Montgomery and Tanner Adams. The assists for Montgomery was his first of the season. Adams notched his third assist of the season on the play. Each team recorded seven shots on goal and Tri-City entered the 2nd period leading by one goal.

The lone goal of the 2nd period was netted by Omaha's Luke Strickland. Strickland's goal was scored at 10:30 of the period and was assisted by Tanner Rowe. Omaha outshot Tri-City 11-9 in the 2nd period and the 3rd period began in a 1-1 tie. No goals were netted in Saturday night's 3rd period and the game entered an overtime period in a tie. Tri-City outshot Omaha 9-8 in the 3rd period.

After the Storm's penalty kill was tested in the beginning of the overtime period, Cole O'Hara netted the game-winning goal at 1:12 of the overtime period. Mitchell Miller recorded his fifth assist of the season on the goal. Victor Czerneckianair notched his seventh assist on the season on the play. Each team recorded one shot on goal in overtime. Omaha outshot Tri-City 27-26.

Arsenii Sergeev recorded his fourth victory of the season in goal for Tri-City after making 26 saves on 27 Lancers' shots. Mason Kucenski recorded the overtime loss in goal for Omaha after making 24 saves on 26 Storm shots. Cole O'Hara was named the 1st Star of the game following his game-winning goal in overtime. Ilya Nikolaev and Omaha's Luke Strickland were named the 2nd and 3rd Stars of the game. Saturday's game was played in front of a crowd of 1,544 people.

The Storm is currently holding an online auction for the jerseys that were not included in the postgame jersey auction during the "McKenna's Rae of Hope Foundation" night.
