Owen Sound Attack News Release

Owen Sound will be at home on Saturday and McNain Communications will be providing all the action as the Attack host the Guelph Storm.

Guelph will be in town for the teams' 3rd meeting of the season. The series is tied thus far, with both games being played in Guelph. The last game, which took place earlier this month, was a dominating performance by the Attack, which resulted in a 5-3 win for the team against their divisional rivals.

The Attack are 8-3-1-1 at home this season, and will look to continue their success on Saturday. Owen Sound will hope their special teams produce for them again, as they did in the teams' last meeting. 3 of the 5 Attack goals came on the power play, while Holden Cook's goal came while the team was shorthanded.

Brandon Hope had an especially impressive showing last time the teams met, making 43 saves on his way to a victory and first star of the game honours. The veteran netminder has continued his solid play throughout the season, recording 5 wins in his last 5 starts; totalling 15 on the season so far.

Gemel Smith and Holden Cook also had strong games against the Storm in their last meeting. Cook recorded 2 of his 13 goals this season, while Smith added 2 goals of his own along with an assist. With the 3 point night, Smith now has 4 points in 2 appearances versus the Storm this season.

The Plan to Attack Hunger will once again be in operation on Saturday's game against the Storm. Fans are encouraged to bring both food and monetary donations to the game, where there will be staff on hand to collect. All donations will go to the local food bank.
