Ottawa 67's News Release

The Ottawa 67's trailed 3-0 after the opening period but staged a rally, only to come up short in a 4-3 loss to the Belleville Bulls on Friday night at Canadian Tire Centre.

Joseph Blandisi scored a power play goal with goalie Philippe Trudeau on the bench for an extra attacker in the dying minutes to get the 67's to within one, but Ottawa couldn't get the equalizer to force overtime.

The Bulls led 3-0 on goals from Jake Marchment, Cameron Bruce and Jordan Subban.

Brendan Bell got the 67's on the board in the second on a tipped shot in front, but the Bulls regained the three-goal advantage only 26 seconds later when Stephen Harper cashed in a rebound past Trudeau who was making his 19th consecutive start in net for Ottawa.

The 67's made a game of it in the third on goals by Dante Salituro and Blandisi.

The 67's (10-18-1-2) are in action at Canadian Tire Centre on Wedneday, December 18 for a 7 p.m. start against the Peterborough Petes.
