Oklahoma City, OK - Doug Davis spun six scoreless innings and Max Ramirez had his fifth straight two-hit game, as Omaha bested Oklahoma City, 6-2, Sunday evening in the second of four meetings between American Conference division leaders at Bricktown Ballpark. The Storm Chasers bounced back from a series-opening defeat to improve to 47-30 by knocking off the RedHawks for a fifth time in six tries this season.

Anthony Seratelli's solo home run in the first inning, his team-best 12th, got the scoring started for the visitors and they added to the lead in the third on a run-scoring single by Tony Abreu. However, the Storm Chasers failed to make it a bigger inning and left the bases loaded when Ramirez fouled out and David Lough popped up to end the frame.

After stranding six runners over the prior three innings, the Chasers finally got a multiple run-producing hit in the fifth when Lough tripled to drive in Wil Myers, who had doubled, and Ramirez, who had walked, to extend their advantage to 4-0. OKC starter Paul Clemens took the loss after permitting the four runs on eight hits and three walks over seven innings of work. Ramirez accounted for the final margin with a two-out, two-run single in the ninth against Hector Ambriz.

Davis pitched in Oklahoma City in parts of each season from 1999-2003 as a member of the Texas Rangers organization and won 24 games. The veteran southpaw earned his third win this season after he allowed four hits, walked two and struck out a season-high six before giving way to Louis Coleman, who yielded a two-out, two-run home run to Brandon Barnes that cut the Omaha lead to 4-2. Brandon Sisk assumed the hill in the eighth and retired all six hitters he faced, three by strikeout, in a dominant performance to earn his sixth save of the season.

The series continues Monday night with Omaha right-hander Nate Adcock taking the mound against OKC right-hander Brian Bass. Coverage of the game begins at 6:45 pm and can be heard locally on 1180 Zone Two, The Deuce and online at omahastormchasers.com.
