Toledo Walleye News Release
(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks, announced today that the Norfolk Admirals have assigned goaltender Mike Brodeur to Toledo. The Storm also announced today that they have released emergency backup Dennis Canfield.
Brodeur, the 2003 7th round selection by the Chicago Blackhawks, joins the Storm from Norfolk where he did not see any time on the ice. He did, however, play in a pair of games with the ECHL's Augusta Lynx earlier this year, where he went 2-0-0 with a 2.00 goals against average (GAA) and one shutout. A year ago, Brodeur earned a 14-8-2 record with the Greenville Grrrowl where he posted a 2.58 GAA and a 0.916 save percentage.
The Storm and Cyclones will reunite this Friday night from U.S. Bank Arena
in Cincinnati at 7:35pm followed by a Saturday meeting with the Wheeling
Nailers at WesBanco Arena the following night. Toledo will return home on
January 19th when they will once again battle the Cyclones at 7:35pm. Great
tickets for the game are still available by calling 419-691-0200 or online
at the all-new ToledoStorm.com. Fans can hear all the action of all Toledo
Storm hockey games on 1520 AM Jams or online at www.toledostorm.com
