MacDonald Added to All-Star Game Roster

Fresno, Calif. - The Fresno Falcons, in conjunction with the ECHL, announced today that goaltender Ryan MacDonald has been added to the National Conference roster for next week's Rbk Hockey ECHL All-Star Game in Boise, Idaho. MacDonald replaces Victoria goaltender Julien Ellis who is recalled to the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League.

The 21-year-old rookie is 12-3-2 this season, and leads all ECHL goaltenders with a .930 save percentage, while ranking second in the league with a 2.31 goals-against average. MacDonald is unbeaten in regulation in his last 12 starts, posting a 10-0-2 record. He was named Rbk Hockey ECHL Goalie of the Week for the week ending December 31, and was honored as the RBC Financial ECHL Saver of the Month for December.

MacDonald has started nine games during the Falcons' current 11-game unbeaten streak, going 7-0-2 with a 1.77 goals-against average and a .941 save percentage.

The Falcons will have three representatives in next week's game, with MacDonald joining left wing Luke Curtin and defenseman Tom Walsh on the National Conference roster.

Fresno is home for a pair of games this weekend, hosting the Utah Grizzlies on both Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Saturday night, the first 2,000 fans in attendance receive a free Falcons hat courtesy of Heald College and KISS Country 93.7.
