LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Long Beach Ice Dogs of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the Boston Bruins, have announced that rookie forward Brandon Schwartz will represent the Long Beach Ice Dogs and the National Conference for the 2007 Rbk Hockey ECHL All-Star Game in Boise, Idaho on January 17th .

In his first full professional season, the 25-year-old Schwartz replaces teammate T.J. Trevelyan, who is playing in the AHL with Providence. Schwartz is second on the Ice Dogs with 10 goals and tied for second with 21 points in 32 games while serving as an assistant captain. Brandon, a rookie forward from St. Cloud, MN, played four years of college hockey at Michigan Tech University where he served as team captain his junior and senior years. Schwartz won a Clark Cup with the Sioux-City Musketeers in the USHL where he led the league in play-off scoring in 2001-02.

Sponsored by Rbk Hockey and hosted by the Idaho Steelheads at Qwest Arena in Boise, Idaho, the 15th Annual ECHL All-Star Game will be at 7:05 p.m. MT on Jan. 17 and the 10th Annual ECHL All-Star Skills Competition will be at 7:05 p.m. MT on Jan. 16.

The Ice Dogs return to action on Friday night at 7:05pm in Las Vegas to face the Wranglers at the Orleans Arena. Season tickets and group sales for the 2006-07 Ice Dogs' season are on sale now.
