
Stockton Kings Defeat Memphis Hustle 137-126

Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Kings (16-13), the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings, defeated the Memphis Hustle (23-8), the NBA G League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzles, to snap the Hustle's three-game winning streak. Memphis guard Dusty Hannahs led the game in scoring with 26 points. Stockton saw three players score 24 points each.
Stockton saw as much as a 14-point lead in the first quarter and headed into the second quarter ahead 38-25. Stockton scored 32 of their 38 points inside the paint. In the second quarter, Stockton shot 6-of-9 (.667 percent) from three-point range. Guard Isaiah Canaan went 3-of-4 from beyond the arch, while Memphis guard Marquis Teague scored 15 of his 25 points.
In the first half, center Eric Mika scored 18 of his 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Teague added 17 points for the Hustle. Stockton led the Hustle 74-64 to head into the second half.
Stockton started the second half hot, sinking their first three three-pointers. They would maintain the lead and bring it to as much as 21 points with two minutes remaining in the third quarter. Stockton kept a significant lead in the fourth quarter, and Memphis would bring it down to as close at 10 points with three minutes remaining in regulation but would fail to catch up.
Mika, Canaan and guard Kyle Guy scored 24 points each for Stockton with Canaan shooting 6-of-10 from beyond the arch. Forward DaQuan Jeffries added 14 points and ten rebounds, with nine of them coming from the defensive end.
Hannahs led the game with 26 points, while Teague followed with 25 points and eight assists for Memphis. Forward Shaq Buchanan added 24 points and nine rebounds.
Stockton will head on a two-week road trip for the next five games. They will face the Northern Arizona Suns on Wednesday, February 5, at 5:30 p.m. The road trip will wrap up against the Delaware Bluecoats on Thursday, February 13, at 4:00 p.m. Stockton will be back home on Wednesday, February 19, to host the Agua Caliente Clippers, at 7:00 p.m.
