Osceola Magic News Release

The Lakeland Magic, NBA G League affiliate of the Orlando Magic, defeated the Capital City Go-Go 130-121 in front of a home crowd at the RP Funding Center.

Andrew Rowsey was not in the starting lineup but he immediately impacted the game when he checked in, scoring 12 of his 43 points in the first quarter. The Go-Go started the second quarter on a 13-0 run behind 12 points from both Jalen Jones and Johnathan Williams. The Magic trailed by as many as 15 points before a momentous rally brought them back within one point to close the half.

After a closely contested third quarter, the Go-Go maintained their one point lead going into the fourth. The game remained close early in the final period, but Rowsey's red-hot shooting allowed the Magic to pull away. Josh Magette and Vic Law both added clutch buckets down the stretch to solidify the win.

Rowsey finished with a franchise record 43 points, making seven of his nine three-point attempts. Magette filled up the stat sheet with 24 points, 12 assists, six rebounds, and two steals. Law added 25 points, eight rebounds, and two steals.

Jalen Hudson lead the Go-Go on both ends of the floor with 23 points, five steals, four rebounds, and three assists. Jerian Grant posted 21 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Jones finished with 20 points and three rebounds.

The Lakeland Magic head to Erie, Pennsylvania to take on the Bayhawks on Tuesday, February 4. Early tip-off at the Erie Insurance Arena is set for 11:00 AM. The game will be available on ESPN+.
