BayHawks Complete Trade with Sioux Falls Skyforce

ERIE, PA - The Erie BayHawks, NBA G League affiliate of the New Orleans Pelicans, have completed a trade with the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the team announced today. Erie has traded Kavell Bigby-Williams, in exchange for the returning player rights to Raphiael Putney and their 2020 NBA G League Draft 2nd Round Pick. This trade is subject to Bigby-Williams passing a physical.

Bigby-Williams (6-11, 250) appeared in 25 games (16 starts) with Erie this season, averaging 8.4 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.1 blocks in 23.3 minutes. The former LSU Tiger ranked sixth in the league in blocks per game (2.1) and eighth in rebounds per game (9.0), among qualified leaders. Bigby-Williams notched 14 games with at least 10 rebounds, tallying 11 double-doubles during his time with the BayHawks

Putney (6-10, 185) most recently played in the G League during the 2018-19 season with Sioux Falls. In 40 games (29 starts), he averaged 16.4 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.4 blocks and 2.0 assists in 30.2 minutes. Putney played for Erie during the 2017-18 season, helping lead the BayHawks to a Southeast Division title and an appearance in the Eastern Conference Finals during the 2018 NBA G League Playoffs.

The BayHawks are set for a Southeast Division matchup tomorrow against the Greensboro Swarm. Tip is set for 7 p.m. ET at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex.
