Published on November 1, 2010 under ECHL (ECHL)
South Carolina Stingrays News Release
The South Carolina Stingrays traveled to the Upstate to battle the Greenville Road Warriors in back-to-back contests for a week record of 0-2-0-0. The Stingrays headed to the Bi-Lo Center on Friday and grabbed a 1-0 lead on the last second of the first period when defenseman Patrick Cullity scored his first professional goal. The Road Warriors responded with four unanswered tallies in route to a 4-1 victory. Rays goalie Jared DeMichiel suffered the loss stopping 36 of 40 Road Warriors shots. On Saturday, Greenville grabbed a 2-0 lead before Stingrays defenseman Josh Godfrey fired home his second goal of the season late in the first period. The Road Warriors reclaimed a two-goal lead early in the second frame, but Godfrey answered again with his second of the night to keep the Stingrays within striking distance. Moments later, Road Warriors forwards Andrew Carroll and Connor Shields added markers to ice the contest and give Greenville a 5-2 win.
