WEEK IN REVIEW
BAK 5 - STK 4 (SO) (11/1/10): Jason Pitton scored a critical game-tying goal with 1:57 left in regulation to cap a wild four-goal rally in the final period by the Thunder, forcing overtime in a 5-4 shootout defeat to the Bakersfield Condors before 3,939 fans at Rabobank Arena on Friday night. The Thunder, who remained unbeaten in regulation in the last four games (2-0-2), were also helped out by goals from Chris D'Alvise, Jim McKenzie and Jordan Foreman, who all combined for the effort to help the Thunder collect a season high for goals in one period.
WHAT THEY'RE SAYING:
"It's like peanut butter and jelly, like a sandwich," Clair said. "Pitton's the bread, I'm the peanut butter and 'Dallie' is the jelly."
* Right winger Fraser Clair on the newly formed "PB&J line," with teammates Chris D'Alvise and Jason Pitton, The Record (Oct. 29, 2010)
"Anytime you get an award it's a pat on your back, but you can't let it go to your head . You still have to be able to perform and do it the next weekend," said Sexsmith, who credited the Thunder defenders. "Things like that are what you have to watch out for. You can go out and get an award one weekend, but how do you respond the next? It's about how you deal with it."
* Thunder goaltender Tyson Sexsmith, on winning ECHL Goaltender of the Week honors, The Record (Oct. 27, 2010)
