Greenville, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays (19-18-1-6) rolled past the Greenville Road Warriors (25-18-1-2) 7-1 at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena Saturday night. Led by forward Andrew Ammon (two goals, one assist), six different Stingrays scored multi-point games.

The Stingrays broke open the scoring 6:08 into the contest when Ammon knocked a rebound past Road Warriors goaltender Jason Missiaen (L, 26 saves on 33 shots) from the left faceoff circle. Forwards Patrick Gaul and Derek DeBlois added assists.

Team captain Andrew Rowe added to the lead on the power play unassisted at 1:20 of the second period beating Missiaen between the legs. With under a minute remaining, forward Patrick Gaul picked off a pass at the Stingrays blue line, marched in for a breakaway and slipped a backhanded try under the glove of Missiaen for a three-goal advantage at 19:49.

In the third period, the Stingrays piled on four more tallies to complete the game scoring. Forward Tim Spencer buried his first goal of the season at 4:50 with help from Ammon and defenseman Wade Epp. Ammon added his second goal of the contest and the team's second man-advantage marker at 13:15 from forward Caleb Herbert and defenseman Lee Moffie. Forward Chris McCarthy snapped Stingrays netminder Adam Morrison's (W, 30 saves on 31 shots) shutout bid at 16:01 on the power play. Spencer picked up his second goal of the night at 17:50 beating Missiaen with a wrist shot from the left-wing circle. Rowe and Moffie chipped in assists. Defenseman Drew MacKenzie completed the game scoring with 55 seconds left from DeBlois and defenseman Frankie Simonelli.
