Steelheads Sign A.J. Begg

BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Steelheads announced today they have signed defenseman, A.J. Begg.
Begg played last year for the New Orleans Brass in the East Coast Hockey League. He scored 10 points and accumulated 84 penalty minutes during the regular season.
With Matt Martin's departure, the Steelheads had an empty slot to fill.
Head Coach John Olver said, "Begg is a big defensive player who has good leadership skills from his days playing as captain at the University of Maine."
Begg is a 6'3", 205 pound Vancouver, British Columbia native. He is scheduled to make his first appearance in a Steelheads jersey Friday night against Anchorage at the Bank of America Centre. Game time is 7:05.
