Idaho Steelheads News Release

(Boise, ID) - Head coach and director of hockey operations Hardy Sauter announced Tuesday that the Idaho Steelheads have traded goaltender Jase Weslosky to the Florida Everblades in exchange for financial considerations.

Weslosky, a rookie out of St. Cloud State, made 20 appearances in net for Idaho, twice stopping 40 shots in a game and twice turning aside 38 for the Steelheads. He was 7-6-3 with a .910 save percentage and 2.64 goals-against average. He was signed by the Steelheads in December after spending training camp with the Victoria Salmon Kings.

The 22-year-old netminder was a 4th-round draft pick of the NHL's New York Islanders in 2006.

The Steelheads are home Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday night, hosting the Las Vegas Wranglers at Qwest Arena. It's a "Twice the Ice" week, where fans who purchase a $15 ticket to Wednesday's game have the option of buying a $7 ticket to Saturday night's contest.
