K-Wings Daavettila Named Plus Performer of the Month

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders and American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, announce forward Trent Daavettila is the AMI Graphics ECHL Plus Performer of the Month for February.

Daavettila, who was even or better in 13 of the K-Wings 14 games this month led the ECHL in February with a plus-15.

Entering the month at plus-4, Daavettila, who leads the K-Wings with a plus-19, ranks third in the league in plus-minus.

In recognition of his accomplishment, AMI Graphics will present Trent Daavettila with a personalized Plus Performer of the Month Banner during an on-ice ceremony at an upcoming K-Wings' home game.

Daavettila becomes the first-ever K-Wings players to receive the Plus Performer award.

Kalamazoo will finish their brief two-game road swing at the Huntington Center against the Toledo Walleye during the State Line Face-Off Series, presented by AmeriGas, America's Propane Company this Friday, March 4th at 7 p.m. during the Walleye's "Pink in the Rink" Pink Ice Game.

The K-Wings will return home to Wings Stadium next Sunday, March 6th with a 4 p.m. face-off versus the reigning Kelly Cup Champions, Cincinnati Cyclones during another Family Hockey Day in the 'ZOO and Stars Wars Night.

During all Sunday home games kids (12 and under) eat FREE. This Sunday, the first 500 kids will also receive a FREE inflatable megaphone courtesy of Kalsee Credit Union.

Single-game tickets for all regular season home games are currently on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office.
