March 1, 2011 - ECHL (ECHL)
Cincinnati Cyclones News Release
CINCINNATI, Ohio - The 2010 Kelly Cup Champion Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL's Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that second-year forward Jake Hauswirth has been assigned to the club by the Florida Panthers.
Hauswirth's ECHL rights were dealt from the Washington Capitals to the Panthers on February 28 in exchange for former Florida defenseman Dennis Wideman. He has now been assigned to Cincinnati as of today. In his first two seasons as a professional, the Houghton, Michigan native has played in 99 games with the South Carolina Stingrays and collected 58 points (27 goals, 31 assists) in that span. A year ago, he finished fifth on the Stingrays in scoring (and led all rookies) with 44 points (17 goals, 27 assists) in 62 games.
Hauswirth will join the rest of the defending Kelly Cup Champions when they return to U.S. Bank Arena TOMORROW, March 2, as they welcome in the Reading Royals for the final time in 2010-11. It will also be the final Wet Wednesday of the season with $1 PBR and Miller High Life flowing all night long. 2010-11 single game and discounted group tickets are available now. 2011-12 season tickets go on sale to the general public on March 5.
