
Cameron Talbot Promoted to NHL's Rangers

GREENVILLE, SC - The Greenville Road Warriors announced today that goalie Cameron Talbot was recalled by the New York Rangers. Talbot is the first Road Warrior to receive a call up to the National Hockey League.
A rookie out of the University of Alabama-Huntsville, Talbot played a pair of games with the Road Warriors last week and went 1-0-1 with a .921 save percentage and a 2.46 goals-against average. He won his ECHL debut on Tuesday, February 22 with a 25-save effort in a 7-1 win over the Gwinnett Gladiators. He also started on February 25 in Cincinnati and took the overtime loss while turning in 33 saves. Prior to being assigned to the Road Warriors, the 23-year-old netminder played 13 games with the Connecticut Whale of the American Hockey League and registered an 8-3-2 record with a .919 save percentage and a 2.42 goals-against average.
The Caledonia, Ontario native signed with the Rangers as a free agent on March 30, 2010 following his four-year career at Alabama-Huntsville. With the Chargers Talbot was the College Hockey America tournament MVP in 2010 and led them to the second NCAA tournament appearance in school history. Talbot had a career record of 15-44-6, a .907 save percentage, and a 3.10 goals-against average.
