
Steelheads announce opening day roster

Idaho Steelheads News Release
BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Steelheads will drop the puck for its third season in the ECHL Friday night at 7:10 pm with 19 active players on the roster. Four players will start the 2005-06 season on the injured reserve list.
Head Coach Derek Laxdal has named D'Arcy McConvey Team Captain, and Justin Cox and Garrett Bembridge will be Assistant Captains.
Eight players will return from last season's team including veteran defenseman Jeremy Mylymok, and veteran forwards Scott Burt, Marty Flichel and Justin Cox. In addition, defenseman Jonathan Zion returns to Idaho along with forwards David Bararuk and Mike Stutzel. Goaltender Matt Yeats, who played a total of six games with Idaho last season, will also dress in a Steelheads sweater for this season.
Included on the roster are 13 forwards, 7 defensemen and 2 goaltenders - full list below and full roster attached:
Forwards: David Bararuk, Garrett Bembridge, Scott Burt, Justin Cox, Marty Flichel, Kevin Gardner (7-day IR), Dan Hacker (30-day IR), Greg Hornby, Kurt MacSweyn (7-day IR), D'Arcy McConvey, Matt Reid, Mike Stutzel, and Brad Thompson.
Defensemen: Jarad Bourassa, Brian Fahey, Blake Forsyth, Mike Gabinet (30-day IR), Jim Hakewill, Tyrell Moulton, Jeremy Mylymok, and Jonathan Zion.
Goaltenders: Steve Silverthorn and Matt Yeats.
